Classical music soloist Lyudmila Petrosyan has been singing in the choir of the Association of the Visually Impaired for nearly 30 years and is preparing for a solo concert. She is certain that the visually impaired are more sensitive and perceive classical music correctly.

"It seems as though classical music is in a downfall today. Television is littered with all types of music besides classical music. Since I am a classical music singer, I decided to give a solo concert," said Lyudmila Petrosyan.

One of the singer's friends from Moscow helped her organize the concert since she doesn't rely on the Ministry of Culture or any other state structure.

"Nobody will help you if you're not famous. Perhaps the Ministry of Culture will help after this concert," said the singer.

The singer says the youth don't listen to classical music and blames those playing classical music for that.

"We must advocate classical music. Our classical music singers should sing a lot. I fought to bring people close to classical music through my concert," said Petrosyan.

Singer Lyudmila Petrosyan's solo concert is free for everyone and will soon be held at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall.
