UK teachers and state servants are holding a 24-hour pan-national workers' strike against pension reforms. The workers' strike has stopped regular activities of schools and border points. The strike expects a turnout of nearly 600-750,000 members of four British trade unions. Nearly 85 percent of schools in England and Wales will be partially or completely closed, and there will be no classes in 350 colleges and 75 universities.

Courts and population's social service points will be closed all day. The UK border control agency has issued a statement mentioning that the border passing points will not function properly. The British authorities assure that they are ready to revise the versions for mutual compromise and have condemned the workers' strike. It is also foreseen that airports, railway stations and harbors will function partially.

United Airlines, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic have already warned their passengers about possible delay of flights.

Several flights have been postponed at the John Kennedy Airport in New York not because of the strike, but because of the 150 turtles that appeared on the road of the plane. The turtles probably appeared there in search of an appropriate place to lay their eggs.

The airport's employees have moved the turtles to a safe spot. According to them, this has happened before in 2009 when 78 turtles had stopped the airport's activities. They say this is due to the fact that the airport is surrounded by water.
