OYK is not surprised by Coalition’s decision
There are no premises for snap elections in Armenia, according to leader Country of Law Party (OYK) Heghine Bisharyan.
"I assume that the Armenian National Congress (HAK) also realizes that snap elections are inexpedient at present. All political forces are preparing for the next parliament elections, they need time to form their commissions by then," Bisharyan told a news conference on Monday.
Speaking about the dialogue between the authorities and opposition alliance HAK, the OYK leader said the dialogue may focus on more important issues concerning the country's home political developments.
Heghine Bisharyan is not surprised at the authorities' decision to form a working group to negotiate with the opposition.
"The authorities have been speaking about the dialogue for a long time. A month ago the president referred to the format of the talks," she said.
The OYK leader says the dialogue will give an opportunity to solve the issues between the opposition and authorities in a peaceful way.
Last week, Armenian President's spokesman Armen Arzumanyan announced that the coalition forces formed a group consisting of 2 members from each party to negotiate with the opposition.
OYK today named Mher Shahgeldyan and Khachik Harutyunyan to represent the party at talks. The first meeting will take place within next 10 days.
