Rain "ruined" the stage
Rain can disturb a performance. As to what rain has to do with a performance and how it can disturb it, that became clear three days ago.
On July 16, the play "Romeo and Juliet" started with a 45-minute delay. Spectators were getting ready to leave the auditorium when one of the employees of the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet after Al. Spendiaryan came out to the stage and announced that the rain had damaged the theater's roof and that the stage wasn't ready for the performance. The employee apologized and announced that they were doing everything possible to get things back on track as soon as possible.
In 2010, the RA Government took a decision to restore the theater's stage quickly. With the purpose of renovating the protective layer of the roof, the RA Ministry of Culture had been allocated 9,630,000 drams to repair the 600 square meter sectors. A contest had to be declared and the winning organization had to repair the roof.
The RA Ministry of Culture informed "A1+" that the contest was held in December 2010 and the roof had been partially repaired. The roof could not be completely repaired since the government allocated sums from the reserve fund. Will there be new allocations? The ministry employees had trouble giving an answer to that question.
