Karabakh war participant Samvel Mikayelyan today declared a hunger strike for an uncertain period in front of the National Assembly building. He is declaring a hunger strike due to his homelessness.

"Now I want to make NA Chairman Hovik Abrahamyan and Serzh Sargsyan hear my voice," says the freedom fighter.

Samvel Mikayelyan had met Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan with the request for a home. According to the freedom fighter, the minister had written and signed a paper that included his issue as primary, but the issue remains unsolved.

Samvel Mikayelyan has been living in one of his acquaintances' homes.

If his issue remains unsolved, Mkrtchyan assures that he will become a suicide bomber.

The 55-year old freedom fighter has taken the drugs that he can't live without. The second degree disabled currently receives a 68,000 dram pension and says it is barely enough for him to buy his medicine.

Despite his heavy social state, Samvel Mikayelyan says he will take arms and leave for the battlefield in case a war breaks out again.
