Hospitals lack substances for narcosis?
According to "A1+"'s sources, Armenian military hospitals lack certain necessary devices for narcosis and that is why all previously scheduled operations have been postponed.
Head of the central clinical military hospital, colonel Mikayel Mikayelyan refused to give "A1+" his commentary on whether the news was accurate or not and suggested asking the Ministry of Defense.
MD press speaker David Karapetyan informed that the ministry's medical institutions have the necessary substances and equipment. Nevertheless, Mr. Karapetyan promised to provide details in a short amount of time.
According to the established procedure, hospitals submit notices for obtaining necessary substances or equipment to the Ministry of Defense, which procures them from corresponding companies through an open contest.
"A1+" wasn't able to find out information from the RA MD official website.
In addition, if the MD's procurement of substances is delayed, the medical institution can purchase the necessary substances by itself and from a company of its choice.
According to "A1+"'s data, one of the Armenian Army's generals is trying to obtain the "monopoly" for allocating these medical substances to hospitals and that is why the solution to this issue is being delayed.
