No gas for 16th district?
Earlier this year, Yerevan Municipality had assigned YerevanGas to provide residents of the 16th district of Ajapnyak community with gas. The year is drawing to an end, but nothing has been done.
"Last year, officials came and said they wanted to provide the residents with gas and we agreed, but I don't know why they're not doing anything," resident of building #14 of the 16th district, Julieta Ohanyan said.
Yerevan Municipality representatives don't give any clarifications regarding the issue.
Press speaker for ArmRusGazard Shushan Sardaryan claims that the residents of the district have breached the initial agreement according to which they had to destroy the lumber-rooms that create problems for the buildings' air-conditioning systems.
"Nobody told us to demolish the lumber-rooms. If I am told that I will have gas, I will destroy them," Mrs. Gayane said.
Gasification was supposed to start from building #14. Even though there are no lumber-rooms closing the air-conditioning system in this building, there is still no gasification.
Will this district ever receive gas? In response, ArmRusGazard employees said the district had been warmed through energy since the Soviet era.
