Recognize world cultures

On September 19, Armenia's national commission for UNESCO launched the "Recognize Cultures and Countries of the World" program at school N 122 after Alexander Blok with the participation of RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arman Kirakossian, Russian Ambassador to Armenia, Vyacheslav Kovalenko and other high-ranking guests.

According to the MFA department of press, information and public relations, the program was supported by the RA Ministry of Education and Science, foreign embassies in Armenia and the schools included in the list of UNESCO's Associated Schools Program.

In his welcoming speech, Head of the MFA Department for International Organizations, chief secretary of Armenia's national commission for UNESCO, Vahram Kazhoyan said the program is aimed at introducing youth to their history and culture, and the world in the context of the current intricate and interwoven world.

Russian Ambassador to Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko gave a brilliant speech at the event. In his speech, Kovalenko introduced Armenian children to Russia and the Russian people, the latter's rich cultural heritage, as well as the current stage and perspectives of development of Armenian-Russian relations.

At the end of his speech, the Russian Ambassador was awarded a letter of gratitude.
