“Celebration raises combat readiness”
Citizens of Yerevan could still see signs of the celebration of Armenia's independence at Republic Square and the major streets in Yerevan this morning.
Yesterday the city was full of lights, festivities and people celebrating independence, but today citizens have gone back to their lives.
The celebration is over, but there are still parts of the stage and the microphones.
People had worried looks on their faces again. Gayane Hakobyan, 54, told "A1+" that she celebrated Independence Day with her grandchildren at Republic Square. "The city was very beautiful. It was like a fairy tale. It all ended today, and now I have to rush to work and pick my grandchildren up from the kindergarten as usual," said Gayane Hakobyan.
Third-year student at Yerevan State University Lilit Ghazaryan said everyone needed to participate in such events, especially the youth and that these kinds of events raise the people's combat readiness and then let them relax a little.
"What impressed me the most was the military parade. It made me feel confident in our forces," said Lilit. In response to the question of what yesterday changed in her life and what she got out of it, Lilit said it didn't change much, but she will be happy for a couple of more days.
