No need for money to treat cancer
Patients shouldn't be on medication in the last stage of cancer, say 37 British oncologists.
They say medical treatment instills false hope, and besides that, it is very expensive.
The Daily Mail writes that the patients spend 8 billion dollars a year. Doctors say a number of expensive drugs prescribed for cancer patients are not effective at all.
British doctors' approach has not been taken for granted. Many have even assessed it as not humanitarian.
The authors of this new proposal claim their view. They think it is better to spend money for improving medical equipment, tests and other necessary equipment instead of deceiving people and giving them false hope.
