Who is released?
On October 14, the Civil Society Institute NGO will present a report on "Legislative and Practical Issues in the System of Release of Punishment due to Heavy Illnesses Impeding Punishment in Armenia".
The report sums up the results of the Civil Society Institute NGO's study on legislative and practical issues in the system of release of punishment due to heavy illnesses impeding punishment in Armenia.
The reporters will present the institutions and procedures through which the institute of releasing prisoners as a result of heavy illness is regulated in Armenia and will discuss the issues that have been revealed. The reporters will also give suggestions for making reforms in the system.
The Civil Society Institute NGO prepared the report and is presenting it within the framework of the "Release of Punishment due to Heavy Illness" program with financial assistance from Counterpart International Armenia Office, USAID Norwegia and the Helsinki Committee.
