Parajanov in San Paolo
The opening of famous Armenian film director Sergey Parajanov's applied arts exhibition was held within the framework of the 35th San Paolo International Film Festival on October 22. Among participants were Armenian Ambassador to Brazil Ashot Yeghiazaryan, state and municipal government officials, intellectuals, representatives of the Brazilian-Armenian community and journalists.
The opening featured screenings of Parajanov's films and documentaries about the film director.
The event also showcased the works about Armenia by Director of Parajanov Museum in Yerevan, photographer Zaven Sargsyan.
The MFA press service reports that "Brazilian media and television provided wide coverage of the event and assessed the showcasing of the works by the world renowned film director as the most important event of San Paolo's cultural lifein October."
