Number of earthquake victims on the rise
The number of victims of the earthquake in Turkey reached 366 this morning and there are more than 1,300 people with varying degrees of physical injuries, the Department of Emergency Situations of Turkey reports.
According to the source, the earthquake destroyed 2,262 homes and buildings. There are 39 Turkish rescue organizations from 49 regions.
On October 23, a 9-10 point earthquake with a 7.2 magnitude struck southeast of Turkey in Van.
An aftershock with a 6.1 magnitude was recorded that same night. Local seismologists have predicted that the number of victims will be up to 1,000.
