Transparent garbage cans for rural communities
To improve the quality and efficiency of garbage disposal services in Armenia's rural communities, transparent containers will be placed next to garbage cans for plastic bottles and containers.
This program was launched and successfully implemented in Akhuryan community and Alaverdi and now it is Vanadzor's turn.
The idea of transparent garbage disposal was realized by Urban Foundation for Stable Development, which has signed a memorandum of mutual understanding with Akhuryan community.
Head of Akhuryan community Artsrun Igityan calls on residents not to throw the garbage of their homes in those garbage cans.
The separated and stored containers will be handed to companies that reprocess plastic bottles.
