SRC reveals
From 1 January 2011 to 21 October, the State Revenue Committee has revealed 71 customs law violations the majority of which were smuggling attempts, according to a press release from the Department of Information and Public Relations at the RA State Revenue Committee.
The SRC informs that it recently prevented more smuggling attempts. Nearly 23 unregistered tons of laminated tiles, 5,500 unregistered mobile phone chargers and nearly 8,000 unregistered mobile phone batteries were discovered during a customs examination under the name Gevorg-Aram LTD.
Employees of the Committee's operative investigation department in Nor Nork have found a production unit in the basement of building #5 on Atcharyan Street in Yerevan. Citizen Robert Zakaryan had been involved in Armenia lavash production without any state and tax registration.
The SRC assures that the employees of the "operative investigative department" have stopped this illegal act and are currently specifying the amount of products and the damage caused to the government.
Employees of the 11th division of the operative investigation department have revealed citizen Hrahat Hovhannisyan's illegal public food store located at the end of Sebastia Street.
