Yerevan to host conference dedicated to first space flight
On November 22-24, Yerevan will host a conference entitled "50 Years of Space Age: Real and Virtual Research."
On November 22-24, young scientists and students from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will hold a conference in Yerevan. The conference is organized within the framework of celebrations to the 50th anniversary of the first space flight.
The conference entitled "50 Years of Space Age: Real and Virtual Sky Studies" will focus on the results of latest astronomical research, as well as cientific expeditions and virtual observations.
The event will be attended by 50 students and young scientists from Armenia, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as Russian and European lecturers.
Students will deliver reports on their post-graduate papers. Practical work and visits to the Byurakan observatory will be organized. The conference will be held in Russian and English and is funded by the Russian-Armenian Cooperation Foundation.
