Impostor seen on television
On December 15, Malatia district police officers and the police of the NKR arrested 37-year old Armen Yeghiazaryan from one of the apartments in building #50 on Oganov Street in Yerevan. Yeghiazaryan had been persecuted by NKR police for fraud.
On December 16, 36-year old Rubik M. showed up to Malatia police division and informed that while watching a program on ARMENIA TV the day before, he had recognized Armen Yeghiazaryan, who had taken 1,180,000 drams from 118 different people from December 2010 to February 2011 for moving to Sochi city, translating passports and providing plastic cards for salaries.
Yeghiazaryan has returned 600,000 drams of the sums that he had collected, and has appropriated the rest of the money through fraud.
Armen Yeghiazaryan is under arrest.
