Deputy Colonel testifies
Former Road Patrol Chief Margar Ohanyan was informed that his employees were receiving less benzene.
"Ohanyan told me that he was aware," said former Commander of the 1st officer of the Road Patrol battalion Arsen Arshakyan during today's trial.
His battalion has received less than 2-3,000 liters of benzene a month for at least two years. "In the last quarter of my term in 2011, we received 23,000 liters, but if my memory serves me right, the figure in the reports was 26,025.
The prosecutor and the culprit asked the eyewitness why Deputy Police Colonel Arsen Arshakyan hadn't notified the corresponding bodies about the deficit of benzene.
"I didn't notify anyone because I found out that there was a deficit for other services and accompaniers," said Arshakyan.
The culprit, Margar Ohanyan wanted to understand how the road patrol officers' work was interrupted due to the lack of benzene.
According to the eyewitness, the commanders had asked whether it was possible to raise the price of benzene twice or not.
Margar Ohanyan asked the court to call the commanders to the court. The eyewitness didn't remember that the commander had expressed discontent with the lack of benzene. The next trial is scheduled for February 7.
We remind that Margar Ohanyan is charged with appropriating a large amount of benzene.
