Heavy snowfall blocks some roads in Armenia
Interstate roads, highways and mountain passes in Armenia are difficult to pass, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
Some sections of roads are covered with glaze ice. Selim Mountain Pass and Berd-Chambarak, Verin Getashenb-Madina (Gegharkunik marz) roads, as well as the 7th km of Vanadzor-Stepanavan highway (Lori marz) are closed because of poor visibility and snowstorm.
Gyumri-Yerevan (the section of Lanjik), Spitak-Yerevan, Sevan Chambarak (Gegharkunik marz), Alagyaz-Tsaghkahovik (Aragatsotni marz), Norashen- Tsaghkahovik and Aparan-Kuchak roads are difficult to pass.
Snow removal activities are continuing.
