Fans gather to pay tribute to Whitney Houston
Whitney Houston's fans are gathering at New Hope Baptist Church to say good-bye to the great singer. The church is in New Jersey where Houston performed as a child. No one without an invitation will be allowed near the building and fans have been urged to stay home.
The private funeral is closed for media representatives, with only one operator being allowed to film the procession. The funeral procession will be streamed on line.
Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder will sing at Whitney Houston's funeral. Houston's ex-husband Bobby Brown and Kevin Costner, with whom she starred in The Bodyguard, are among those who have been invited to the private service, BBC reports.
Whitney Houston was found dead in a Beverly Hills hotel in California. Her body was found in the bathroom. The cause of death has yet to be determined.
