Rector was unaware of new rector
Principal of high school N 2 in Kapan Lernik Petrosyan has been appointed acting Rector of the Armenian State Engineering University in Kapan.
Rector of the university Ara Avetisyan officially introduced the new rector to the professors.
Former rector Seyran Balasanyan, as he had announced, won´t leave the university branch. He will be involved in research and will hold the office of deputy director for academics.
He has already managed to create his own office and even post a sign that states his office.
The rector touring the university was surprised by this. Seyran Balasanyan still hasn´t been appointed to the office, and it is still unclear as to whether Seyran Balasanyan will be appointed deputy director for academics or not. Acting director Lernik Petrosyan mentioned that the university administration would discuss that issue.
