Japanese cellos made from ruins
Several homes and other wooden structures demolished after the devastating earthquake and tsunami that took place in Japan on March 11 have been used to make 1,000 cellos as a symbol of coming out of the ashes, reports Vesti.ru.
All 1,000 instruments were prepared by the masters in Rikudzentakata, Japan.
Renowned Israeli cellist Ivri Giltis will perform with one of the cellos on the day marking the anniversary of the horrible tragedy.
The ceremony in memory of the victims has brought together other professional musicians, as well as students of the Japanese music school. They will perform with the cellos prepared from the ruins.
