Girls “demolishing” the stands
Environmentalists and representatives of different non-governmental organizations today organized an event dedicated to International Women's Day at the park near the Main Avenue in Yerevan.
Deputy of "Heritage" Party Larisa Alaverdyan came, welcomed the youth's initiative and assured them that "Heritage" was by their side.
"Know that even if we can't be here, we are with you," Alaverdyan said.
Musicians put everyone in a good mood, while publicists read excerpts from literature devoted to women.
The girls decided to demolish the stands by themselves, and police officers surrounded the area and tried to disturb them.
The environmental activists were also joined by women of the NGO fighting with the slogan "Last Minute", but police officers stopped them on the road.
The situation at Mashtots Park is peculiar today. On the one hand, police are trying to disturb the girls, and on the other hand, they are passing out flowers by the demand of Deputy Police Chief of Yerevan Robert Melkonyan.
