Sitting strike at park for uncertain period
The women fighting for the green area near Mashtots Park in Yerevan have sent a message to Taron Margaryan on March 8.
They have given the mayor until March 13th to demolish the trade stands placed at the park.
"If the stands are not removed and we don't receive a response from the municipality, we will declare a round-the-clock sitting strike for an uncertain period," environmental activist Mariam Sukhudyan told "A1+".
She also mentioned that they will demolish the stands, will renovate the park and plant trees at the park.
"Even though today is International Women's Day and the women and ladies at the park have sent this message to the mayor, men can also join us in our struggle," Sukhudyan mentioned.
