Residents of Kond district today gathered in front of the government building again with the demand for a solution to the issue regarding their homes.

"Let the government fulfill its promise. We have been left homeless for four years, but the government doesn't even give us money to pay for the homes in which we are temporarily staying," said the residents who have turned into residents of a sale zone due to the government's decision.

"Let them return our homes."

They say Serzh Sargsyan promised a speedy solution to this issue four years ago.

The residents signed a contract according to which they would be provided with homes within thirty months, but the residents haven't even been able to meet with government officials to this day.

"They don't receive us and tell police officers to tell us that we are right, but we don't have a response to this day," said resident of Kond district Garegin Safaryan.

There are 215 homeless families. Downtown Yerevan CJSC, which started the construction of a building for the residents, has been liquidated and the issue of the homes is hanging from thin air.

The representative of the residents, Ira Nazinyan finally received a promising response today. She was received by the Finance Minister's assistant who informed that the government had established an inter-departmental commission that would discuss why Downtown Yerevan CJSC hadn't fulfilled its obligations. The government has promised to solve the issues in a month.
