Police to protect candidates as well
RA Chief of Police Vladimir Gasparyan and the persons accompanying him had a meeting with the heads and servants of the RA Police department and divisions of the Lori province, reports the RA Police.
"Giving an overall positive evaluation of the regional police officers' activities in counter-attacking crimes and maintaining social order, the Chief of Police touched upon the problems during the parliamentary elections, mentioning that an operative group has been established to maintain social order and rules and regulations at the polling stations, as well as protect the deputy candidates and voters' rights. The operative group will also coordinate the activities of the RA Police subdivisions," as stated in the message.
The operative activities in the province were discussed, the issues were specified and practical proposals were made during the consultation.
At the end, some servants of the RA Police department and divisions in Lori province were encouraged for achieving high results.
