Movie legend Alain Delon hospitalized
One of France's best known movie actor Alain Delon briefly underwent surgery for an irregular heartbeat in Paris on Wednesday, the 76-year-old told the daily Le Parisien.
"Presently, his condition is stable. Like all people, the screen star cares for his health and undergoes ordinary surgery," Delon's assistant said.
The hospital personnel also refrained from commenting on the actor's health.
Born on November 8, 1935, Delon has starred in close to 100 films over the course of a five-decade career, becoming one of France's best known actors around the world.
According to "Pure People" site, the actor was hospitalized yesterday in the Neuilly Hospital and is to be discharged in 48 hours.
