Hackers against China
Chinese government websites have turned into hackers' "victims". The hack was organized by the Anonim Grouping to express protest against the strict censorship policy on the Internet in China.
According to a press release posted online by Anonim, the hackers managed to seize information from more than 500 Chinese websites, including the websites of several municipal authorities and companies, reports the Voice of America.
We remind that Facebook and Twitter are banned in China and, instead, citizens of China use the highly popular welbo microblogs where data is controlled by government officials.
The government officials controlling the blog remove disputed or politically "sensitive" materials posted in welbo.
