Citizens applying for new passports
The laws of the Republic of Armenia "On Identification Cards" and "On the Passport of the Citizen of the Republic of Armenia" entered into legal force on 1 June 2012. From the moment of entry into force until 7 September 2012, there have been 726 applications for the acquisition of identification cards and 445 applications for the acquisition of passports containing biometric data, reports the RA Police.
