Inspections at Civilitas suspended
Inspections of Civilitas Foundation's budget have been suspended for 30 working days starting on July 23 by the decree of President of the State Revenue Committee under the RA Government.
Director of the Civilitas Foundation Salpi Ghazarian reaffirmed her conviction that the delay of inspections shows that the case was instigated for political motives and that there was no sense in seeking other reasons.
On August 18 at 10:00 the general jurisdiction court of Kentron and Nork-Marash districts of Yerevan will hold a closed-door session to discuss the Civilitas Foundation's appeal. Civilitas Foundation demands that the court eliminate the National Security Service's May 25 decision on instigating a criminal case against the Foundation.
On July 23, Judge of the general jurisdiction court of Kentron and Nork-Marash districts of Yerevan, Mnatsakan Martirosyan denied the similar appeal filed by founder of Civilitas Foundation Vardan Oskanyan, without providing serious explanations.
