The prices of staple goods will go up in Armenia by the turn of the year, says economist Vardan Bostanjyan.

The price of bread has already gone up by 10-30 drams which the economist says is resulted by the increase in grain prices.

The economist predicts increase in the prices of other imported products as well.
"The advance in prices will be insignificant for many consumers," he said.
Vardan Bostanjyan also predicts 7 percent economic growth by the year-end.
"We have all prerequisites for it; there has been considerable growth in industrial and agricultural spheres," he stressed.

According to the National Statistical Service, the prices of essential goods, except for fruit and vegetables, have gone up in the first half of the year.

The prices for wheat products have gone up by 14,3percent as compared with the same period in 2011.
