Dead rat against human rights activist
Early in the morning some unknown persons left a dead rat at the office of Republic Party located at 116, Nalbandyan Street. Representative of the party Artak Zeynalyan does not rule out that the incident is related to his activities as a human rights activist. In his words, this is the third case when a dead animal is left at the party's office.
Zeynalyan recalled that the same thing happened for the first time in 2004 or 2005 when someone left a dead cat.
The office was previously located in the area near Monument to Saryan. The second incident happened in 2008 when a dead rat was left at the office located in Tumanyan Street at that time. Mr. Zeynalyan is inclined to connect these incidents with his activities as a human rights activist, which displease some people, rather than with political activities of the party.
Mr. Zeynalyan told A1+ that it is in the party office that he does his work as a human rights activist.
