Lieutenant colonel to stand trial on September 25
The court hearing of the case of Lieutenant Colonel Vardan Samvelyan, deputy commander of the unit N. of the RA Ministry of Defense, will take place on September 25 in the Court of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan. Judge Armen Vardapetyan will chair the court hearing, Pastinfo reported.
It should be reminded that enraged by the murder of Vahe Avetyan who was cruelly beaten up, Vardan Samvelyan armed with ammunition entered Harsnakar Restaurant on the night of July1, threatening to explode it.
After the negotiations that lasted several hours, Vardan Samvelyan was arrested and transferred to the disciplinary detention center of the Military Police of the Defense Ministry.
