Votes to be recounted
24 applications for a recount of the voting results of the September 23 local government elections have been received from various candidates and proxies. 9 applications are related to elections of community heads, and 15 have to do with elections of members of local councils of elders.
Besides, the district election commission No 41 requested that a recount of votes of the elections of community heads and council members in two polling stations be carried out.
Thus, a recount of votes for community heads will be carried out in 11 polling stations in 6 rural communities and 2 urban ones: in Abovian and Ayrum.
A recount of votes for members of councils of elders will be carried out in 18 polling stations in 8 communities.
The results of local elections will be summarized on September 28 based on he recount results.
