One of victims in elevator accident identified
The Ministry of Emergency Situations released the names of the people who died in yesterday's accident in a newly constructed building in Yerevan's Sasna Tsrer Street.
At around 5.22, October 25, a lift fell down the shaft, killing two people and injuring two others. On arriving at the scene, rescuers found out that a freight lift fell down from the 19th floor. The lift was not officially registered at the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Husik Ohanyan and a middle-aged man of about 50 died in the accident. Khachik Yepremyan (born in 1969) and Gevorg Safaryan (b. in 1954) were taken to the Armenia Medical Center with injuries. Doctors say they are in critical condition.
The name of the other victim is being clarified.
