Election bribe and Armenia’s future

Social

Armenia's future is rather obscure for Argishti Manucharyan, a student of the Ijevan Branch of Yerevan State University. He disapproves of the government's policy in every and each issue and says it is reminiscent of the Ottoman government.

"The taxes are so high that they can be compared with the ones imposed on Armenians by the Ottoman Empire," he says.

Argishti, who turned 18 this year, cast his ballot for an opposition party during the May parliamentary elections.

He is going to participate in the presidential elections as well.
"If Serzh Sargsyan's supporters offer me a bribe of 50 000 drams, I shall take the money but I shall not vote for Sargsyan," says the student.

Argishti says his rebellious spirit ripened with him since childhood. For example, he has always felt aversion to those who pollute the environment, especially forests.
"When a child, I wanted to poison factory owners and all those who harmed Nature," he said.
