Armenian National Congress to stage protest May 31
The meeting of the Standing Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is due to be held in Yerevan on May 31 under the Armenian Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers. On the same day activists of the Armenian National Congress will be staging a protest action in Yerevan, posing their demands to the international structure.
"Given the fact that the atmosphere of permissiveness in Armenia, the ruling criminal-oligarchic system and continuing violations of human rights are also resulted by the negligence of international structures, including the PACE, the ANC youth association will be holding a protest outside the Armenia Marriott hotel which will be hosting the meeting of the PACE Standing Commitee," ANC said in a statement released earlier on Monday.
