"Defence Ministry will not express its position on military deal"
Russia's military support for Azerbaijan is likely has not provoked unease in Armenia. The relevant authorities in Armenia were aware of the military deal from the very beginning when the agreement was signed between Azerbaijan and Russia, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, a spokesman for the Armenian Defence Minister, wrote in his Facebook account.
"The amount of the advanced weapons sold to Azerbaijan does not upset the equilibrium between the forces or create preconditions for Azerbaijan to carry out acts of aggression against Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
The Ministry of Defence will refrain from making any statement expressing its position, given the misinformation found in media," said the Ministry official.
