ARMENIAN FILM IN CANNES: ‘Don’t be afraid’
‘Don’t be afraid’ documentary film, directed by Lusine Petrosyan, will be represented in Cannes. From May 16th to 26th 2007 the Festival de Cannes is holding the 4th Edition of the Short Film Corner. ST. KHACH LEFT WITHOUT CROSS
Today, there took place the opening of the restored Surb Khach ( Holy Cross) which was eventually left without a cross. According to Turkish newspaper “Zaman”, the Turkish Foreign Ministry allowed putting the cross on the dome.

SEVERAL THEATERS WILL BE RECONSTRUCTED
The buildings of the Yerevan state theater of Music Comedy after Paronyan and the State Puppet Theater, as well as that of the «Pan-national» will be reconstructed this year. They will be equipped with new equipment. «Today it is a must, as the theaters are still using the equipment from 1960-70s which is completely out of order», said representative of RA Ministry of Culture Razmik Abrahamyan.
SINGER ARPINE BEKJANYAN IS NOT AFRAID OF DIFFICULTIES
Famous singer Arpine Bekjanyan can rarely been seen onscreen, although several years ago she was a frequent participant of various TV shows. She started her career in studio “Ardzaganq”. Arpine claims that other singers of the same studio too almost don’t appear onscreen because of the name of the studio.
