With the support and active participation of Ucom, the annual regional forum “DemArDem: Dialogue of Generations” was held in Vagharshapat. The forum is organized by the NGO “Children of the Regions”.<\/p>\r\n

The event took place at the Komitas Cultural Palace in Vagharshapat and brought together more than 800 teenagers and young people from all regions of Armenia and Javakhk, along with experienced professionals, successful entrepreneurs, and representatives of the intellectual community.<\/p>\r\n

The forum is held in a “reverse” format, where the older generation listens to the youth. Eight young speakers shared their unique experiences and inspiring stories on topics such as “To Be or Not to Be a Friend of AI,” “The Brain as a National Resource,” “An Armenian Robot Beyond the Ocean,” and others. The speakers had spent a month preparing their presentations with professional mentors, including the Head of Ucom Academy.<\/p>\r\n

“At Ucom, we place great importance on empowering young people and expanding access to technological education in the regions. The DemArDem forum is a powerful example of how young people can not only learn, but also inspire the older generation. A Ucom booth was also set up at the venue, where young participants engaged in themed intellectual games, took photos at an AI-powered photo booth, and learned more about the company’s activities and its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.<\/p>\r\n

“For the third time, DemArDem has demonstrated the immense potential of young people living in the regions — when they are simply trusted and given a platform to express themselves. Our NGO operates in the regions throughout the year, working closely with them. Over the course of the year, we organize educational camps and intergenerational initiatives across all regions of Armenia,” said Aramayis Margaryan, President of the “Children of the Regions” NGO.<\/p>\r\n

Throughout the forum, an exhibition of projects created and led by young participants was showcased. A panel discussion titled “Child Development and the Future: What Is Our Role?” was held, along with competitions and interactive activities.<\/p>\r\n

At the end of the event, Ucom presented gifts and prizes to the winners of the intellectual competition and to the forum speakers. The forum concluded with a concert by Tmbata band.<\/p>\r\n

The Global Mentoring Walk Armenia took place for the first time in Yerevan, bringing together accomplished professionals from diverse sectors and purpose-driven young people. The initiative was introduced to Armenia by Hayasa Tahmazyan, a member of the Vital Voices Global Leadership Network and a social impact innovator.<\/p>\r\n

“The goal of the event is to cultivate a culture of mentorship and to promote the transfer of experience and wisdom across generations in Armenia. The Armenian edition brought together 18 accomplished mentors who walked and shared their experience with 36 mentees.<\/p>\r\n

Ucom informs that there has been an increase in phone scams in Armenia. Fraudsters are making calls fromlocal and international phone numbers, as well as sending messages via WhatsApp, Telegram, and Viber.<\/p>\r\n

By representing themselves as employees of banks, telecommunications operators, delivery services, or government agencies, they attempt to gain access to citizens’ personal data and mobile applications in order to later steal financial resources.<\/p>\r\n

Scammers often instruct individuals to share or dictate service activation codes received via SMS, click on links sent through text messages and enter their bank card or personal information, as well as install specific applications on their phones, for example under the pretext of activating 5G services or accessing certain services for free.<\/p>\r\n

If such actions are carried out, fraudsters may steal financial resources, gain access to banking applications and perform various transactions, send messages to the victim’s contacts, access personal communications, or remotely control the phone. On 13 March, during a phone call with his family, Ruben Vardanyan attempted to deliver a public address to Azerbaijan's Ombudsperson, Sabina Aliyeva. The call was forcibly terminated.<\/p>\r\n

This address was an act of last resort: over the preceding ten days, Ruben had repeatedly and unsuccessfully attempted to reach her through his lawyer, written requests, and phone calls.<\/p>\r\n

The trials took place a month ago. To date, neither Ruben nor the other Armenian prisoners have received the official texts of their verdicts — neither in Russian, nor in Armenian, nor in Azerbaijani. They do not know under which charges they were convicted, or when and where they will be transferred.<\/p>\r\n

We are deeply concerned by the current situation. The absence of reliable information about his condition, combined with the dismantling of independent human rights mechanisms in Azerbaijan — including the departure of the International Committee of the Red Cross — leaves all prisoners without any institutional protection.<\/p>\r\n

We also fear that even brief phone calls — the only remaining means of contact — may be cut off entirely.<\/p>\r\n

We are publishing the audio recording of Ruben's address to Azerbaijan's Ombudsperson Sabina Aliyeva — an address he was not permitted to complete.<\/p>\r\n

my lawyer, through written requests, and attempts to call – I have been unable to reach you. Therefore, I am compelled to address you publicly. Unfortunately, I have no other way to convey to you what is happening here to me and to my fellow detainees.<\/p>\r\n

I ask you for a meeting. You are the only head of a public institution whom I can turn to in the current situation, because all other bodies in Azerbaijan carry out either state control or…<\/p>\r\n

The 'Badalyan Brothers' Group of Companies, which plays a significant role in the country's economic development, paid a total of 33,122,052,404 AMD in taxes in 2025, including taxes paid by the founders. SoftConstruct, the Group's flagship and one of the country's largest IT companies, paid 23,777,903,000 AMD to the state budget in 2025, ranking 10th on the list of the 1,000 major taxpayers.<\/p>\r\n

'Fast Bank', part of the Group of Companies, paid 4,784,045,000 AMD to the state budget, securing 75th place among Armenia's thousand major taxpayers. Additionally, Fast Media ranked 574th, contributing 632,296,642 AMD to the state budget.<\/p>\r\n
