Prime Minister spoke to RF Transport Minister about Verin Lars
Today Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan has had phone conversation with Russian Transport Minister, RA and RF economic cooperation intergovernmental committee Russian side co- president Maksim Sokolov. During the conversation mainly Verin Lars reconstruction issue was discussed. Stressing the role of Verin Lars checkpoint in Armenian- Russian commerce, Hovik Abrahamyan noted that snowdrifts and landslides problem must be solved, which has negative influence on the volume of cargo transportation. “The problem has technical nature. I think that the development project of checkpoint subsystem can be carried out. I suggest exploring the area and road extension in the places, where landslides are usual. I also must inform that Armenian Government is ready to take part in construction work together with Russia side,”- noted Prime Minister. According to the agreement of speakers, with the suggestion of Maksim Sokolov, Russian side will create working group, which will explore Verin Lars area for a month and then future actions will be clear.
