Opposition lawmaker Nikol Pashinyan today reminded his colleagues in parliament about yesterday’s incident near the gates of the National Assembly when a parliament security officer used violence against a journalist of A1+ Company during a protest action organized by Hakaharvats (Counterblow) group. The lawmaker condemned the incident and called on NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan to take measures and make the security officer accountable for his misbehaviour. However, Pashinyan’s call met nothing but indifference by the NA Speaker. What else do you have to say?” said Sahakyan. Heritage Party MP Tevan Poghosyan joined Pashinyan’s appeal. Today, the National Assembly voted in favour of the draft bill on amending the RA Law On Administrative Offences submitted by Republican MP Arpine Hovhannisyan. Again, Republican lawmakers, in particular Karen Saribekyan, voted for their absent colleague.
