How will RF importation bans influence Armenia? (video)
Russia has banned importing construction and household appliances. The decree signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at the beginning of the week has been a response to the sanctions applied by the West. Russia has banned importation from the third countries but it doesn’t apply to the EEU countries. Armenia, Russia and Kazakhstan can even benefit. There is no such point in the EEU treaty by which everything that is banned to import into Russia must be also banned to import into the EEU countries, assure the specialists. Such step would be a violation of other countries’ rights. It is another issue that Russia is doing this step in order to boost its own production. In this case European products will hereafter have a big competitor in the Armenian market. Such situation doesn’t satisfy our citizens.
