Several activists taken to police station
The Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) today decided to raise electricity prices amid ongoing protests organized by civil activists and ordinary citizens. While the PSRC was discussing the new rates, young members of the ARF-Dashnaktsutyun again tried to enter the PSRC building to express their discontent with the new tariffs. However, their advancement was stopped by police officers who forcibly dragged the group from the area. Several young people were taken to a police station in the result of an ensuing clash between the activists and policemen. A1+’s journalist says ARF representatives are now holding a march to the Kentron department of the Armenian police.
