Dashnak activists set free
Six young members of the ARF-Dashnaktsutyun who were taken to a police department earlier on Wednesday have been set free, a representative of the party’s youth wing told A1+. Mesrop Yesayan says his friends were not subjected to violence at the police department. The young men were detained after trying to break into the building of the Public Regulatory Services Commission after the latter announced its decision to grant the bid on increasing electricity prices by 6,93 AMD. Police officers used force and dragged the group out of the building. This resulted in clashes between the protesters and policemen. In the long run, six people were taken to the Kentron department of the Armenian police from the protest venue.
