“For earning their place in the sun they fawn on Serzh Sargsyan”
Armenia cannot bring itself out from under the burden of the Constitutional amendments, says the Armenian National Congress (the HAK) deputy Aram Manukyan. The other rumors, according to him, are meaningless, “It isn’t important who will be elected, who will become the president, this adulation, bluff-democracy, pathetic speeches aren’t important, simply Armenia today doesn’t have the human, financial support, the legitimacy in order to digest all these,” says Mr. Manukyan. The deputy claims that dozens of years still are necessary for adapting to the Constitutional amendments and realizing them. The HAK deputy is sure that the main aim of these amendments is that the elections’ mechanism will be eliminated from Armenia, “They want to do everything to do everything without the people. They said all that even at the NA hall without understanding that they mustn’t have said what they had heard during inner working talks.” After the Constitutional amendments the president will become a weak figure, reminds Aram Manukyan and adds that it is what Russia needs. The next concern of Aram Manukyan is the war situation of Armenia, “We won’t withstand it, the parliamentary system isn’t able to solve such issues.” “I guarantee that as a result of these changes there will be political clashes, rat race in order to be included in the list. It has already started. In order to earn their place in the sun, they meet with Serzh Sargsyan and fawn on him,” adds the deputy. Aram Manukyan also reminds about the terribly increasing emigration, “If it continues, our country will reach a critical line of human resources. Today Armenia has as many people as in 1991 voted for the independence. The number one issue of our authorities must be emigration. The emigration today is ruining Armenia. Me and our party has nothing to gain from accepting or refusing it, but I am alarming, as being one of the proclaimers of the independence, it pains me.”
