They are amending the constitution for themselves, says villager (video)
Members of the “Yes” and “No” TV project have arrived in Karbi village where they were met by some 50 villagers. Asked whether they had come to receive the politicians and public figures, one of the villagers named Stepan said, “We gather here every day. Why should we come here for them?” Asked what expectations they have from the constitutional changes, Mr Stepan said, “I have to pay a bank loan of 2 million drams. No matter who is on power – Serzh or someone else – shall I be able to repay my dent? They are not amending the constitution for ordinary people, they are doing it for themselves.” In the meantime, Armenian lawmaker Margaritta Yesayan was explaining to the locals the advantages of the parliamentary system of government. “Now you will be able to demand answers from many people instead of one person,” she was saying.
