Niece of Smbat Shahaziz wasn’t allowed to approach Serzh Sargsyan (video)
Today, on Saint Sargis the Warrior's commemoration day, for the first time awarding ceremony of soldiers took place at the hall of Ararat Patriarchal Diocese. Serzh Sargsyan, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and other officials attended the ceremony. An incident occurred during the ceremony. An elderly woman, who introduced herself as Roza Shahazizyan by noting that she is a niece of Smbat Shahaziz, had come to express her complaint to Serzh Sargsyan and the Mayor, but she wasn’t allowed to approach them: “We have lived in a canyon for 16 years. Taron Margaryan told me that he would give a flat to me. Without electricity, water, hungry and thirsty, I get 30 000 AMD pension, it isn’t enough for my medications, my son died, they don’t want to take me out from this canyon and give a room. If there is so much money, why don’t they help us, whom do they give it?”
