Stepantsminda-Lars highway close
The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia says there are closed and heavy-going roads in Armenia. Sotk-Karvachar highway, Vardenyants mountain pass and roads in Shenkan community in Aragatsotn marz are close while Goris-Sisian and Goris-kapan roadways are heavy-going. Nor Geghi-Aragyugh (Kotayk marz), Goris-Sisian and Goris-Kapan (both in Syunik marz) roads are covered with black ice. The Ministry says snow removal crews are working around the clock to clear roads as quickly as possible and recommends motorists to use only winter tyres when driving along the aforesaid roads. The Georgian Infrastructure Ministry’s Road Safety Department reports that Stepantsminda-Lars highway is close for all types of vehicles.
