“Intrigues arise from ambitions. Of course, the artist must have creative ambitions, but he must get rid of human ambitions. Today, many collectives lack teamwork, joint and creative work,” says Ruben Asatryan, Conductor of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre after Alexander Spendiaryan. “I have always dreamt of teamwork, the most valuable assessment for me is the assessment of the musicians.” He is happy that he must conduct “Giselle” and new performances are expected. “Our Opera had glorious past, we had Mikael Tavrizyan, Ohan Duryan. We should remember and assess the past and move forward,” says Conductor Ruben Asatryan. “If I invite an artistic director, I must rely on him,” says Andranik Arzumanyan, Director of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. “Gegham Grigoryan simply suggested dismissing the position of the principal conductor. It is more administrative, technical position, which was done by Karen Durgaryan the time when the Theatre didn’t have artistic director. Karen Durgaryan could continue his job as a conductor, but he didn’t agree.” New performances are expected at the Theatre. Premiere of “Norma” will be held at the end of March, “Tosca”- in June and “Masquerade” in autumn, “Madame Butterfly” and also premiere of children’s opera. Details on the video
